That judge who is looking for people to hold in contempt should start with whoever authorized this post.
I’m glad I’m not one if the people who has to defend this administration in court. They can’t go one fucking day without publicly contradicting their own court filings. The amount of contortions their lawyers have to do to try to avoid getting trapped in a no win scenario is hilarious.
If it were me, I’d probably be the first member of the administration to get sent to El Salvador after losing it and blurting out “why can’t you shut your goddamn dick holster for one fucking day you stupid asshole‽” in a meeting.
SEE! You STUPID Libtards said he was a FATHER but This is PROOF he’s an ILLEGAL GANG MEMBER!
-Literally EVERY SINGLE PERSON who says they Do Their Own Research!
America’s government is so cooked
Kyle Gas was right.
Tenacious KG did nothing wrong!
Only time in my life I wished a politician leaned further to the right.
They got it right in some universes.
Hopefully in some universes he was never born. That goes for Elon too.
I think about this weekly.
There seem to be some oversights among the guardrails of democracy here.
“We’re asking you nicely to stop this.”
“No.”
“Don’t make us ask again. You’ve been warned.”
“Still no.”
“Alright, buster. You asked for it. We’re going to ask even more nicely!”
Now the branches come too close to grinding irrevocably against one another in a conflict that promises to diminish both. This is a losing proposition all around. The Judiciary will lose much from the constant intimations of its illegitimacy, to which by dent of custom and detachment we can only sparingly reply. The Executive will lose much from a public perception of its lawlessness and all of its attendant contagions. The Executive may succeed for a time in weakening the courts, but over time history will script the tragic gap between what was and all that might have been, and law in time will sign its epitaph.
- Judge Wilkinson. Circuit Judge. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Appointed by Ronald Reagan.
Very prophetic, especially for a Reagan appointee.
Side note, people are complicated, and this guy was not a hardliner for due process:
I think the idea is that the president would be impeached but we’ve gotten so political that no politician would dare go against the party.
Until recently, US Presidents could be prosecuted.
Before recently he wouldn’t have been prosecuted for this either. He needs to be impeached. And all the self hating liberals need to vote in the next election to turn Congress blue as the ocean.
Technically, they still can be prosecuted through the impeachment process. It doesn’t seem likely to happen at the moment but still it’s possible.
Given the probability, it might be a better investment of my time to start a snowball fighting league in Curaçao.
Wait for Republicans to get ground in the Trump machine for a chance at impeachment
Yeah, but not successfully, not a single one.
This is incredibly funny in all the wrong ways
This honestly looks exactly like the Onion
I actually thought it was the onion
This seems to happen way more often than actually eating the onion, cuz reality is more ridiculous than most of what they put out.
Puking an onion? Idk what to call it.
I wish we lived in a timeline where the official white house account didn’t post like a boomer on Facebook
Idk, kind of feels appropriate that the White House pages should post like the President would. Not just the filtered PR responses. Some people might wake up to how ridiculous it is. If even one person realizes how idiotic the President must be for those types of posts then it’s a win as far as I’m concerned.
The cult members will believe whatever anyway no matter what is posted, but if even one person wakes up to the reality it’s a win.
Who do you think is in the white house
At least 8 people named, “John”
Let’s work on fixing this, friend.
Let’s get the guns. Who knows how to build drones we can use to drone strike the President?
Or a Reddit user more like.
This is real-ly disgusting. FTFY
Jesus Christ
is coming back
Must suck to live in a fascist state.
It does. Don’t let it happen to you.
We’re trying to stop it here, so it doesn’t spread. Maybe suck it up, and help us out. Could be your country next.
By doing what? I’ve already stopped buying American products for a start.
Who am I? The antifa answer man? I know literally nothing about you other than your odd username, and your assertion that you live in another county. Open your eyes, look around, I bet you are clever enough to think of something beside starving the US of what little cash you may have ever given to corporations that operate from here.
That’s a convoluted way of saying “you can’t do shit”. Well, good luck there funnyman.
If you’re going to accuse someone of not doing enough to help it’s usually good form to have an explanation of what enough would be.
Basically dudeman say, sux to be u. I say, yeh, maybe help. Also say I know nothing of you. What accuse? How I know what enough? Maybe do all can to say ‘sux to be u’. dafuq? Are you in, or are you an accomplice after the fact? You da master, fart on if that’s all you can do.
I mean, it helps.
The hell of it is there isn’t a lot an individual can do, but if we all do a little bit there can be a huge impact.
It is crazy how 30 days can screw over 50 years. Who knows what’s next.
I’m sorry to say, but this has been going on for much much longer than 30 days, but it’s true that most people didn’t notice
Yeah, how far back you wanna go?
I’m thinkin George Lincoln Rockwell or John Birch Society are probably pretty good landmarks for the budding of what became MAGA.
These people deserve to burned at the stake.
*deported
at the stake
Can NYT or someone sue for libel? That’s defamation with false information. I’m not looking for a fine, but an order requiring them to say they were wrong and published false information. Then NYT can publish that tweet in their headline.
I think the only one with standing would be Abrego Garcia, and he’s got bigger problems right now.
I think you have to be the victim when it’s libel don’t you? So I guess he could sue, but I don’t know if the New York Times could.
Well Trump sued news organizations to censor them. I don’t see why this can’t be a two way street.
😂 no. Wtf? 🤣
I went to xitter to see if this indeed real (I don’t know how reliable xcancel.com is). Didn’t even find that tweet. I stopped at a picture of Trump holding up a photo that was supposed to show Abrego Garcia has MS-13 tattooed on his hand, and the picture was instead 4 symbols that were being “interpreted” to mean MS-13. That’s the kind of bullshit you expect from Flat Earthers and ancient alien conspiracists, not the goddamned White House.
Sad!
xcancel is nitter instance, which is a FOSS front-end similar to what invidious is to YouTube. What you see is pulled from the Twitter servers, but without all the trackers, ads and cookies you get when you visit twitter ‘the normal way’. I believe they maintain the integrity of the URL, so you can copy and paste the text after xcancel.com and place it behind x.com if you want to be sure xcancel or another instance parses data correctly. Your mistrust is a good thing.
And totally agree, conspiracist took over the government including their communication channels, still partly in denial myself because some stuff is so unbelievably crazy.
You can just go to the Whitehouse x which doesn’t need an account, check yourself https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/1913241658579440126
Yeah, sorry I was unclear. I did go to their account on X, but I stopped looking when I saw the ridiculous pic of Trump holding up a blown up photo of someone’s hand like a gullible imbecile.
This attitude is all that’s left when you spend almost a century creating a culture that tells people to stop valuing their neighbors.
