oh praise geebus! finally a “dad joke” that’s not a painfully sophomoric pun

I’m just so grateful that so many great scientists fled nazi germany. Also that those who stayed behind (this is controversial and not known for sure) hindered and delayed Germany’s nuclear weapons program.

This was totally the response to Y2K. We spent billions to prevent catastrophe, then nothing bad happened, then everyone was like, “we’ve been had!” I didn’t hear anyone say “well, we really handled that one well!”
