Dropping the U’s from words such as “colour” - I get the simplification argument and I’d take or leave them, but I’m pro-U.

The pronunciation seems slightly different too, Color (Kolor) vs colour (coul-err). Or at least I pronounce them slightly differently depending on which word I read.

Even some places in the US are switching over to calling them WCs.

Stuff like ski boots, too. Men and women apparently have muscle groups placed in slightly different areas, so the boots are sculpted differently to account for that.

I’m not terribly surprised, parrots can store information on materials, color, and then recite it in English. Even if they don’t have the vocal chords to do so, I’m sure certain primates, whales, and potentially certain canines could do similar things with sign languages or brain-computer interfaces.

If people can teach dogs math, and wolves can do insanely complicated lab experiments and real world problem-solving, I’m sure our brains aren’t terribly different.

We have those bathmats that are just mats without a rubber backing. The rubber backed ones tend to get really ratty and messed up in a dryer.

The pure cloth ones tend to last longer, imo. And they don’t make your clothes smell like rubber. White ones work best, as they can be bleached as needed.
