If we are all going to die, the money doesn’t matter. Pay forfood, housing, medical care, education, and ice cream.

I can’t wait for the inevitable article about her whining that she’s getting made fun of or “taken out of context.” Bitch go practice what you preach off a cliff.

This community is basically only political posts these days. I will comment and downvote until this community turns back to normal.

See to me, it just sounds like politician says dumb provocative shit. That’s what they do. I thought “wow what an asshole.” I didn’t sit there thinking it was funny or going “ wow this has to be fake, right?”

This exactly. 90% of the content should be in a community called notnormalpolitcs or funnythingsamericanpoliticiansdonowadays

Yeah but they’ve got a point. US politics are practically all satire these days anyway and seeing it in every community has to be tiring even for Americans? I want to see a NotTheOnion article where the punchline isn’t a metaphorical punch in the face

Satire written in a way you for a moment doubt if it’s true or not. Lately it’s a wave of ‘Trump or some republican senator did something lame or terrible’ and ‘Trump voter had his face eaten by leopards’. Normal would be a post like this once or twice a day, I get the sentiment but it’s just too much and the bar is getting lower and lower if you ask me.

That’s not really what the sub is about though. It’s not about satire. It is about things that seem like they would be satire but are in fact real. There is a lot of republican politicians on here because they fit the brief pretty well.

Yes obv I know this is not the union, didn’t really make that clear '-.- and republicans do bonkers shit, also obvious but I liked this community a lot better before Trump became president again.

    How about you first?

Would be the far more polite version of my response. Not violent, but a lot less diplomatic.

Do not go gentle into that good night,

    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,

Because their words had forked no lightning they

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright

Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,

And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight

Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,

Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Ummm Joni ain’t wrong. We are all going to die.

Just some of us will die from a 100% preventable and treatable illness with no access to health care.
