    what is ao wrong about just paying a prostitute to do it with?

    In most places, the law. Not that I agree with it, but that is the law and most people don’t want to risk prison.

        at the same time, I wouldn’t redirect a potential rapist to a sexworker. Shit can go incredibly wrong for her, even if he ends up paying.

          Fair, but that was the choice that was set up in the parent comment, risking prison was already a foregone conclusion.

          (And the real answer to the parent comment is “because it’s about control, not sex” but still)
