It is specifically about calling out people who are critical of the consequences of poverty experienced by younger generations, without acknowledging that poverty itself, or Boomers’ responsibility for creating that poverty. “ok, boomer” is what you say when someone tells you that to get a good job, you just need a strong work ethic, a firm handshake, and the willingness to walk up to the manager and ask for a job.

There has never been an IBM PC-compatible that expected soldering of its user in order to function. Maybe if you wanted to upgrade the RAM on your motherboard prior to inline memory modules, but that’s hardly an end-user task, you’d take it to a technician to do that.

See, in my mind, a CLI is a line buffer-based interface, whereas a TUI is an interactive character-based interface. sed or bash is CLI and vi or rogue is TUI.
