Surely having a physical steering wheel is a requirement otherwise they’d have already innovated with driving solutions before now.

Go look it up. This is known stuff. It isn’t a guess it’s based on evidence.
I cannot speak to the quality of the documentaries you’re watching since you don’t actually list them.
But I can assure you we are extremely confident we know the age of the Earth. In fact we have known the age of the Earth with high confidence longer than we’ve known age of the universe that contains it.
The ages of various life forms on the earth are much more nebulous but the age of the actual rock that makes the planet up, is known.
We pretty confident in the age of the Earth and have been pretty confident in its age for quite some time if you asked 20 scientists they will all give you pretty much the same answer. I don’t know where you’re getting this belief that the age of the Earth is in debate.
Yeah no one seems interested in my perpetual motion machine.
It only seems to be a US only thing. I assume it’s because the military is such a big thing for the US where other countries just see having a military almost as a chore.
That’s a very British documentary as well isn’t it.
Lets just get a dead giraffe and cut it open in order to demonstrate something
That would never happen in the US there’d be too many complaints.
The most screwed up one is the octopus, for some reason that brains are below their mouths so the esophagus goes through their brain. If they eat something too big they can give themselves a concussion.
Yeah when he’s talking about debt he means small scale stuff like credit card debt. Basically you buy your groceries on your credit card rather than your debit card even though you could buy them on your debit card.
The reasoning being is that that way you get an extra month of interest before you have to pay out, and you get a good credit score since you always pay off your loans. Which weirdly is actually better than having no credit score at all because you’ve never had any debt.
Let’s think about the country and see if we can come up with any possible problems somebody might have with it.
Yes it’s in NATO but I’m pretty certain that NATO simply has them because they would prefer to have them inside pissing out.
There is a British financial advisor who basically says the same thing.
If you can actually manage debt make sure to get some. And then pay it off.
If you’re unmarried and have no descendants sure. Although you’re kind of screwing them over, these days, you dying is the only way your kids are ever going to be able to buy a house.
Honestly surprised the database hasn’t been hacked yet. It’s blackmail heaven for China.
An automotive lidar scanner is nothing compared to the price of a car. Yeah it’s more expensive than the one that’s in your phone but that’s not shocking they’re not going to put a really expensive one in your phone because it would exceed the value of the phone.
Although if you’ve got an iPhone that’s possibly not the case.
If I’m being so dense tell me why the companies aren’t using it.
You mean company singular. It’s literally only Tesla that don’t use lidar every other car manufacturer uses it. So the answer is because Elon wants to save every last single penny. There is no grand conspiracy here for you to uncover it is literally that Tesla are cheapskates.
And you are being deliberately dense because this has been explained to you ad infinitum and you still don’t seem to get it.
I imagine when he’s driving around his golf course he makes voom voom noises
I have seen trucks with landscape scenes painted on the side and I’ve never crashed into one of those thinking that it was a portal to a random sunlit field.
Watch the video it’s extremely obvious to a human driver that there is something wrong with that view ahead. It’s even pointed out in the video that humans use additional visual clues when a situation is ambiguous.
The cars don’t have deduction and reasoning capabilities so they need additional sensors to give them more information to compensate due to their lack of brains. So it’s not really sensible to compare self-driving systems to humans. Humans have limited sensory input but it’s compensated for by reasoning abilities, Self-Driving cars do not have reasoning abilities but it’s compensated for by enhanced sensory input.
So out of interest I looked it up.
The new BYD cars that are coming out also have self-driving probably to directly compete with Tesla.
However they do use lidar, and radar, and cameras, and infrared cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. All have to be working or the car won’t go into self-drive. So other companies consider even one of their sensors failing to be enough to disable self-driving capabilities yet Tesla are claiming that it’s perfectly safe to drive around with those features not even installed let alone functional.
So yeah that’s a real bad look.
Oh well if you’re “pretty sure” then I won’t argue with you.
After all, you have a feeling on the subject. Don’t bother to look it up or anything. Remaining deliberately uninformed is so much more appealing doing a quick Google search.
