Workers, at best, only get a tiny fraction of “winning” when it happens. Why should anyone destroy themselves for spoils that multimillionaire C-suites take for themselves?

“Multi-decade hiatus” is funny as hell. Like they’re bringing back a beloved cable TV series and not “the Allies seized all our TDPs that weren’t destroyed and told the entire country they couldn’t produce so much as a single pistol for years.”
Catastrophic loss of OPSEC in exchange for a very tenuous sense of “rah rah military”? I don’t buy it.
Like if there would have been shit in that conversation that actually endangered anyone, or actually leaked shit thats not public
Hours forward notice of an impending military operation. He could have leaked it to someone in Yemen and compromised the whole op if he desired.
informationspace shaping operation
What did he mean by this?
Few things going on:
Basically every gunmaker is prioritizing making full guns over making parts available, because the guns are selling (to distributors at least.)
The Italian factory only makes certain things in batches every couple of years from my experience.
Beretta Italy in particular probably prioritizes defense and police contracts over consumer sales.
The hayseeds at the Tennessee factory are still trying to figure QC out.
The Beretta 92 is stronger than it has ever been with how many different models and clones are out now, I’d say.
I love my Beretta 92s, my favorite handgun bar none.
It was the right choice to retire it from the military though. The locking block is a failure point that simply doesn’t exist in other guns, and a polymer framed gun is the right choice for the weight savings, as we continually load our troops down with more shit.
Is the P320 a good replacement? Ehhh…
Some kaiju-sized demon could cleave Tampa, Florida in half with a flaming sword of the damned and all twitter would have to say about it is “would.”
I recall a firsthand account, I think from the Iraqi side, about their “recruitment” efforts. Where they just drove trucks around, knocked on doors, and gave the men a choice. Either you come with us to fight, or everyone piles out of this truck and violates your family while you watch.
NA education moment, thought Bosnia was Serbia for some reason. Would prolly get me stabbed if I made that mistake in region.
The Serbs I’ve talked to online and a couple in person seemed ambivalent about taking responsibility at best. They are generally more pissed about the NATO intervention into their genocide SMO, and overblow how much death it caused compared to the death they (former yugo states) inflicted amongst themselves. I am confident Russia uses this as a wedge issue to their advantage these days.
Been a minute since I’ve read up on the Yugoslav wars, but are we sure this alliance is primarily worried about Russia and not that place in the middle there?
I honestly don’t understand this compunction to break things that are already working fine.
Simple market capitalist mindset. If you’re not expanding, you’re dying.
Like that Texit moron who mentioned “warm water ports” as a strength of Texas.
Honestly what does retirement planning in America even look like anymore? The next five-ten years are looking to be extremely volatile both financially and politically. It almost feels more risky stockpiling a currency that may lose significant value or even devalue entirely if shit falls apart and/or global war breaks out.
You can’t eat your 401k, buy Mountain House foods by the bucket like your racist uncle! Or something.
I feel like this meta would significantly increase your chances of landing a Nazi or a future mass shooter…
I could not get the benchmark to complete on my desktop, I tried a half-dozen times, it always locks up ~15 seconds into the “gameplay” section. Tried experimental proton, turning off frame gen, nothing.
7900xtx so I’m not wanting for hardware. While it behaved I was getting ~200 frames with framegen and ~100 without.
EDIT: Proton Hotfix seemed to work. Noticed the frames were a bit worse but for sure beats a hard lock
In that gen at least you kind of have to grind out some XP before each gym or you get schwacked. Whether that makes it a better or worse game is subjective. In the Alpha/Omega remakes this isn’t much of a problem. But when I tried playing through those I stopped because it was trivially easy for that reason and others. Again, subjective.
