FFmpeg doesn’t deserve to be such a tiny block. Nothing else comes close to matching its stability and simplicity. There’s a reason it’s practically part of the foundation for all media software out there.
Well eh, the binary seems to be about 130MB while the ffmpeg source repository is only 80MB (and the version with separate .so files (all part of the project as far as I can see) is even larger)

This picture doesnt work if you replace the stick with the huge boulder.
Maybe if you visualize it as the foundation of a building.
Then it makes sense.
Absolutely - very powerful and capable, even just from the Linux command line.
But ffmpeg is a small binary (compared to the others there) and still performs well
