I know people like this in real life and I swear they live for the fight but only ones that they think they can win. They get a thrill from being right or having power and their use is good and for their own betterment and anyone else is just mistaken and wrong and needs to be corrected or pushed aside to make room for someone they can push down or back upon.

Someone did share his odd recent ranting community he made where he wrote to himself about how evil and mean we are or something for asking people to either block/ignore/report or use the requested pronouns of other users. He’s obsessed apparently.

Trans friendly communities ask people to use and respect neopronouns because respecting people’s identities makes them feel safe and happy, and not doing so can cause distress and dysphoria. You’re a fellow trans person, you should know better.
Most of what you are saying is a lie? No one was saying the attack helicopter or litterbox stuff, nor were we defending trolls. What we said is use neopronouns when requested, and report trolls as usual. Refer to people as they ask or ignore them, don’t feed trolls if you think someone is a troll.
People kept engaging with the trolls rather than doing what we asked.

It was me not being very clear, sorry mate. Glad it makes sense now.
Just to make something clear, mods do not have the ability to edit comments of other users. Even admins would probably have to do a bit of technical hacking to do so.
That wasn’t always the case in the early Lemmy days. There’s a reason these folks stick to communities they created and control. They used to make ragebait posts, edit comments of other users to say unhinged genocidal shit, screenshot their edits and delete the thread. And then post that as evidence ‘documenting genocide apologia’.
Now they just manipulate the modlog to not show the removed comments and make up reasons.
