Same, I think often about when I met my school bully a few years after we left high school and I was back home over summer break working a temp job, he was the supervisor. He told me to quit the job, leave my home town and enjoy my life. Sounds like a stupid movie cliche I know. Anyway he was obviously depressed and kept talking about how school was the halcyon days.

I guess I’m grateful school was shit as I have gone on to know what not to look for from situations and what I want and need from friends and work.

    This meme is completely unrelatable.

    I hated school.

I never sat in the back of a classroom dying of laughter with friends.

I hated school because there was a bunch of kids mocking and laughing at me for most of it.

I guess some popular kids had good times by pulling my pants down or constantly hitting my chair during class. They must reminisce and miss those times, when they were laughing with their peers.

I think people who hated school generally didn’t sit in the back of the class dying of laughter with their friends. I know I definitely didn’t.

Most people hate school. Even the “smart kids”, what they really like is learning or knowledge, not school.

I’ve been working for longer than I was in school, and I don’t have regular nightmares about being stuck in an office building. Just saying.

i accidentally picked the gayest high school to go to and even coming out as trans in my last year didn’t cause me any troubles. even the old teachers who never saw a trans person (that they knew was trans) before me did their best to respect my pronouns and identity without judgement. and all that in Poland, a country not exactly famous for being inclusive.

but i got insanely lucky, school can be tough. my heart goes all to those who’s joy of learning got dulled by others

I had friends in school and it still fucking sucked

The best part was music class and gym

College was better because people were more mature and in my experience the friend groups were more stable and less drama

Highschool was fun as fuck but the school parts were torture. So boring and I was tired and hungry.

School was great. Short days, long lunch and breaks. Loads of holidays. Had an hour of exercise thrown in every few days. Loads of people to talk to. Different things to learn.

Hated certain classes and hated being a child at times.

Last couple of years of highschool was awesome. Dropped all the shit classes, people suddenly treated you better because you was a young adult had even more time off! Like fuck 3 hours of work a day was unreal. (Where is our reduced workforce efficiency gains!)

But I agree with the other guy uni was much better. More drinking, more fucking more independence. Uni was the dream.
