This headline is misleading. But it supports our side, so we’ll let it stand. It’s OK when we do it.

Except, it’s not misleading… the Trump administration has explicitly said they are rolling back regulations that limit the amounts of heavy metals and chemicals that factories are allowed to pump into the atmosphere - the headline is about as accurate and straight to the point as it could be.

Rolling back restrictions is not the same thing as putting the pollutants in the air. Come on, you guys are more mature than this. I know you are.

If you hand a gun to a known mass murderer, you have no culpability, makes sense.

Did I imply Trump has no culpability for increased pollution by relaxing standards? The link is obvious. The headline is still misleading.

When California released inmates early due to overcrowding in jails, should the headline have read “Newsom Admin rapes, shoots innocent citizens?”

Nobody reads this headline and thinks Trump is personally going to wheel out his mercury machine and start cranking it.

The headline could definitely read “Newsom admin to put more rapists and murderers on our streets”, which I think would be equivalent.
