    the worst is when they’re like “we’re a meritocracy or promote based on performance” so you perform and show your merits and they’re like, “look, it’s not personal, buuuut, even though you excelled and outperformed if we went that way we’d have to fire Todd, and he’s the CEO’s nephew. So yeahhhhhhhh… but it’s not personal…”
