I haven’t run a marathon but I’ve done 100 miles on a bike in 6-hour session. Does that count?
My tips:
- 1 to 1.5 liters of water per hour
- Sunscreen
- Regular breaks every 2 hours for 15 minutes
- That’s it really, your everything begins to hurt at around hour 4 and 1/2
Can confirm, I’ve ridden a few centuries too, both outdoor and on virtual cycling platform. My longest is 120 miles, actually.
It’s hard.
Agreed, it’s hard
You’re a real one, cheers 🍻
The worst are the triathletes. Always trying to work it into every conversation. Ugh.
Also, any other triathletes around?
And the worse are the ones that completed Ironman.
By the way, any others that have done Ironman before?
I beat Wizards & Warriors II: Ironsword on the NES.
I still whistle the music to that game! That and Ninja Turtles II.
On the NES! That required patience
I still have my password to get to the last boss fight memorized. Fucking elemental heads flying around trying to knock me off a mountain. Sorry for spoilers.
Just ruined 35 years of me avoiding spoilers. Thanks a lot.
I played the GBA game. It was alright.
Bonus points for casually mentioning your pace or VO2_max.
I wasn’t going to talk about it, but since you brought it up, my VO2 max is…
You “have ran”?
I was expecting some tips to run a marathon in the comment section.
Something they won’t tell you is that you should start with short marathons. And work slowly to longer ones as you get better at it.
I’ve heard tape on nipples helps with friction. I don’t run marathons though. That takes way too long.
You mean there are other uses???
Bonus points for mentioning CrossFit.
You mean CrossShit?
That’s because it’s fucking amazing tho foreals =X!
