in my country it’s not illegal to download roms or games or movies, just sharing it is illegal!! and i don’t share at all, but i’ve heard that in the us they are extremely strict about that, what if someone sees i’m playing gameboy on my phone and realizes i downloaded my roms from the internet?? dangerous?? thank you

You are far more likely to get stopped by a cop here because they “smell Marijuana” and you’re a foreigner than you are for one of them to see you playing GB games on your phone.

Yeah sorry, the Unites States of America is gonna be out of order for the next decade or so. We’re working on getting angry enough to get rid of the fuckers who caused it, but it’s gonna take a while.

Yeah I couldn’t imagine a single reason why someone would want to travel to this country right now. Stay home

ICE is rounding up “Mexicans” in cities across the US every day right now. Keep your papers on you at all time and your best bet is they drop you off in Mexico and not Columbia or El Salvador or Gitmo

Piracy isn’t exactly enforced in the “break down your door, slap cuffs on you” behavior. 99% of piracy crackdowns in the US, are more or less your internet service provider detects you are running torrents of something copyrighted, and tells you that if they catch you again they are cutting your connection.

Take those roms, load them into a gun, murder someone…

You may still not end up in American jail.

Have an oz of weed in a red state on the other hand!

I wouldn’t have anything shady on my phone at the border, personally. Tourists are getting fucking detained in the past month. I, a birthright citizen, would just wipe my phone and have it stock Android to cross the border right now. I wouldn’t even have an ebook on it. But maybe I’m just paranoid.

    Once inside, go nuts.

Second this, ironically, giving CBP a focus on human trafficking, drugs, and weapons has made it less focused on the little inane things. Assuming you aren’t a criminal in your country, acting weird, don’t have a weird travel pattern in the US, and haven’t attended the funeral of any terrorists recently, you’ll be all good.

You’ll be fine as long as you don’t come to the US.

The above statement has nothing to do with whether you have game ROMs or not.
