Wouldn’t be so sure about the entire 21st century. There are some major efforts by the English speaking parts of the world in recent years to ruin that for themselves.

Dwarf Fortress (old style ASCII mode) is a good one after buying a new graphics card.

It has become a sort of tradition for me to play some sort of game that really doesn’t need the performance as the first game on any new computer I get.

Reminds me of the Hitchhiker’s Guide sequels with their method of flying as “throwing yourself at the ground and missing” which is essentially describing an orbit.

Considering how much control Apple tries to exert over how you use your devices that does seem pretty close to the truth.

He doesn’t so much hate AfD as he hates that their existence makes it harder to focus on cutting regulation and giving tax cuts to the rich because they take some of the bigoted traditional voter base away from his party.

People coming up with scenarios like that forget that the US would have huge supply lines to keep those bases going while the other country is literally right there. And it is not as if you would need to besiege a modern military base for months to starve them out.

Funnily enough I don’t watch movies very often for similar reasons. They feel so shallow compared to a good series due to the limited time the creators have to tell any stories.
