I’m not certain if there’s actually a name for it, but I’m rather partial to this style I see all over the place in which a human artist uses physical media to create something that evokes emotions in the audience.

It’s a pretty great example to highlight just how insecure the digital environment is. Only takes one tiny mistake to open yourself up to significant harm.

That’s what raising a family is about. No matter what you do the wold will eventually burn you out, so it’s good to have people to take over whatever it is you’ve built.

Here is a particularly interesting bit of work someone put together. The main theory, as the author explicitly recognizes, isn’t provable, but they source their work and point to some really interesting real things (like there really was a massive explosion somewhere above North America around 12,000 years ago, ending the ice age and causing the extinction of mega-fauna).

Gobekli Tepe in Turkey is pretty amazing also. Dating as far back as just after the ice age, there are signs of use by many different cultures from around the continental land mass.

That’s why I enjoy learning real history. There actually IS really cool super mysterious stuff which has occurred, as long as you can still get excited by things without a Hollywood soundtrack to let you know it’s supposed to be cool.

I die inside a little each time I see it. When there is a conflict between money and science, science should not be the one sacrificed for the sake of the other. Even if your only goal is money, wealth in a healthy society is worth vastly more than wealth atop a dung heap.

If your understanding of Christianity is based upon how well mainstream Christianity understands it, then you don’t actually understand it, only the warped form that it takes after thousands of years of infighting and political manoeuvring. For example, did you know that at one point it was actually taboo to depict Christ as a human?

Christianity is virtually always represented by those who either don’t understand it, or are deliberately slandering it.
