I saw the documentary on this experiment and it was super interesting and informative. Highly recommend.
They probably knew… But the prison/military industrial complex incentivizes crime, as it perpetuates poverty. And more poverty means more people arewilling to work for less money. Cheaper labor equals higher profits.
So basically, capitalism goes brrrr.
