That whole domain lost thing only lasted for a week or so and then they got it back. I don’t know how they did it, maybe it was still on hold. The registrar seemed a bit shady to me… But they were back online a few days after that incident.

Idk, probably all the people who downvoted OP and the majority of people here on Lemmy I met in discussions about Flatpak & Co. And If I look at the average size of a modern Windows installation, I’d say at least 70% of desktop users to begin with.

Lots of people seem to like it. I also use it for like 2 or 3 desktop apps, but it’s alao littering my filesystem with gigabytes of runtimes. And I believe I can salely remove Skype now…

Seems the Admin took some action over at the community and banned them for: sockpuppet account, disposable email, vote manipulation, ban evasion

If anything, this leads to more control, more tracking to enforce bans and less privacy for everyone. And adds toxicity. So my final verdict is: No. This takes away privacy.

I don’t see the point. We could go some more through the comicstrips community and the modlog and puzzle the pieces back together… But I really don’t see what kind of privacy this offers. I mean this strange behaviour kind if draws more attention, not less… Maybe they’d like to chime in to tell us.

I highly doubt this kind of behaviour makes Lemmy a better place. We have other places for these kinds of things linke anonymous imageboards.

Though the majority of this community isn’t Marxist or Communist. The developers are, but major parts of the community hate it, and they migrated towards other instances… Which make the majority of Lemmy as of today. You just have to avoid lemmy.ml and lemmygrad (and hexbear)

What’s your definition OP? I think I’m going with the textbook definition: Someone who posts deliberately offensive or provocative messages.

Btw, Christians, Muslims and Jews worship the exact same God.

I’d like to interject for a moment. What you’re doing is downvoting a comment, in which someone seems to do the right thing for once. I’d say upvotes are in order. Disregarding any previous history.

Plus, can we please have some different drama tomorrow? I think it’s a bit boring to always talk about the same person over and over again as if there wasn’t any other lore or drama to be had on the Fediverse.
