I’d skip the gardening but the rest would be fine assuming I’m in (a) stable romantic/sexual relationship(s) already in addendum. That isn’t to say I don’t enjoy socializing intrinsically but yeah TBH looking for some love is basically the main reason I leave the house outside of work. And you can’t do that before 9:30pm.

  • They do this because [even nice and intelligent] women are human horny, and do the very human horny thing of making mistakes and regretting them.

Bad/terrible people can be hot. In fact, often when people are hot they feel more free to be their natural asshole selves because they can get away with it more. This applies to both men and women in all directions.

In fact, some people want their partner to be mean to them, its more often hetero women who like that. If a guy can be mean and get away with it, that implies they’re hot shit, extremely confident, rich, and/or powerful. Those are attractive features in a guy.

There are also hetero men who want women to be mean to them, especially in the bedroom.

  • Following a moral framework so strictly sounds so rewarding…

I say this as an autist historically riddled with anxiety: Life is meant to be lived. I kind of lived similarly for the first ~15 years of my adult life and I regret it as a waste. Get out there, do something cringe, stupid, or questionably ethical. Make dumb mistakes, because if you don’t your life will be a void and you’ll learn nothing and stagnate. Live a life worthy of telling it as a story. Get hurt and accept you might hurt others by living vibrantly.

I’ve been trying to do so for the past 7 years or so… covid set me back a little socially but I’m recovering again.

  • Similar story of my own: Had a middle school computer teacher who told us to use “File -> Open URL” on Internet Explorer/Netscape (can’t remember which) which opened a prompt window with a text field to enter in a URL. And I pointed out that you can just use the address bar and do the same thing and she angrily told me that I had to do it the proper way. While I thought she wasn’t looking, I used the address bar anyway. She apparently had been trying to spy if I disobeyed, caught me, and told me that I failed the assignment (I did not even know I was being graded).

Another different computer teacher at my high school I had seemed to more or less admit she had no idea what she was doing (she originally taught a different subject, she seemed legitimately nervous/insecure about possibly losing her job) though she tried by just reading the text book to us verbatim for a few days. Eventually, she gave up and the students just taught each other computer stuff in her class, then when they ran out of things to teach each other they just played Age of Empires all class and the she let us.
