  • This is actually a real issue for a lot of people. The solution that I found is that you should sit down and write out a meal plan for the upcoming week. Like actually sit down and plan out your every meal and include snacks as well. Then write down the things you need to buy for those meals and snacks. Make sure you only put down things that you actually like eating.

When you go shopping take that list with you, and only buy the things you wrote on there and only buy amounts for the meals you’re planning for. If by the end of the week, you bought too much, then that means there are meals in your planner that you don’t really like. From there, you can refine your list and make improvements every week.

  • LLM AI chatbots were never designed to give life advice. People have this false perception that these tools are like some kind of magical crystal ball that has all the right answers to everything, and they simple don’t.

These models cannot think, they cannot reason. The best they could do is give you their best prediction as to what you want based on the data they’ve been trained on and the parameters they’ve been given. You can think of their results as “targeted randomness” which is why their results are close or sound convincing but are never quite right.

That’s because these models were never designed to be used like this. They were meant to be used as a tool to aid creativity. They can help someone brainstorm ideas for projects or waste time as entertainment or explain simple concepts or analyze basic data, but that’s about it. They should never be used for anything serious like medical, legal, or life advice.

They’re private in the sense that there isn’t a corporation stealing your data without your knowledge, selling it without your consent, whoring you out for ads against your will, and/or making your experience shittier to manipulate you into buying their paid features. These alternatives offer a much more pure experience for the typical user. Things like comment and vote history being public is just a part of the design of the forum, they’re not tools to farm your data.
