The point of the article is that Iran was prepared to handle decapitation strikes, and has managed to retaliate quickly. And it has - refineries and power plants in Haifa have been disabled, and many military targets have been struck across Israel.
Though I agree that the article is a bit triumphalist.

Democrats and bombing the Middle East
If Iran were to obtain a nuclear weapon, it would stabilize the Middle East by providing a deterrent for Israel’s psychopathic aggression and malice. They are the only powerful country actively supporting Palestinians in their resistance to this aggression. Everyone should support Iran and its nuclear ambitions.
If Putin is against Israel he’s on the side of good, whatever his flaws. Ukraine works for NATO, the US, and ultimately Israel.

In general I agree. He could also have been against it but then, being convinced it went really well by the Israelis, trying to take credit for it.
