Our military is so powerful that we realized only we could defeat ourselves! From that point forward, we knew we had no choice.

See, this is one of the major points of this tariff idiocy that I’m baffled by (unless, of course, it’s as simple as “Putin told him to”): we’re wrecking the economy of scale of our own military industrial complex. Say what you will about the corruption and waste, but we do make a lot of the best hardware out there. The fact that we’ve pissed EVERYONE off enough that many allies are passing on that hardware is kind of a big fucking deal.

Calling it now, the next US administration would trigger a third world war through cloak and dagger shenanigans and then come into the war as a savior maintaining geopolitical hegemony over EU.

Not getting that vibe yet, but I definitely think they will lay down the ground work. Letting our enemies fester and grow until even the biggest sycophants in the admin will feel the need to doe something about it

If the threats of invading Greenland and Panama, antagonistic meeting with Zelensky, and obvious efforts to destabilize the global economy haven’t given you that vibe than I don’t know what will.

Isn’t there some provision that US military isn’t allowed to buy non-American unless it’s more than 50% cheaper or impossible to get in the US?
