Pope Francis went on the record saying he hoped Hell is empty. Torturing even the worst person for all eternity is overkill in my opinion, maybe after 500, 5000, 5 million years of celestial reeducation, if he really put the effort in, Hitler’s soul could be free. He’s only human and given the absolute worst circumstances and decisions I believe any of us could end up fucking up as bad as him.

FWIW I dont really believe in an afterlife but I do want to believe in universal redemption, as difficult as that can be sometimes.

I’d like to believe in pie in the sky too, but I don’t. The only justice in this world is what we make, and it’s a rare thing when that happens.

True that, Justice is sacred but only when we respect her enough that she remains in this world. As Rome was falling, Justice was the last of the great virtues to leave.

I think measured against an infinite time even the slowest person would come around. Life is short and nobody is absolutely, perfectly evil, maybe colossally so, more than enough to fill 100 years of a spiteful and bitter life but always in a finite way.
