When a giant mommy mechanoid grasshopper and a giant daddy mechanoid grasshopper love each other very much, they get stuck playing piggyback for a while. And then a little while later out pop hundreds of baby… shipping containers?
Ah, and then they harvest the shipping container eggs for profit. Clever!

Seen plenty on dirt, pavement, trees, rocks, etc. Never actually on grass tho.
Do you have bad eye sight? I don’t mean that condescendingly. They can sort of blend in. I see them often when mowing because they hop away. As a kid I saw a lot and I remember playing with them.
But yeah, you don’t see them in grass probably because they’re hiding in the grass I guess lol.
How far can those jump?
