In 1956, Germany's Court of Justice ruled that the Nazis had deported Sinti and Roma as a crime prevention measure. It took until 1982 to admit the truth: it was genocide. On August 2, Europe marks Roma Genocide Remembrance Day, for both Sinti and Roma. Survivors like Christian Pfeil had to fight for years for recognition and compensation. Some are still waiting.
Roma genocide is not going to get recognised as long as we live in this capitalist hellscape. The reason people hate them is because they refuse to participate in the death cult that is modern economy.
