In the USA, the regulations are made up and the points don’t matter.
The NHTSA’s autonomous car regulators suffered layoffs after the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency cuts targeted that team, the Washington Post reported.
The whole point of DOGE was to tear down any department that was blocking him from doing stupid shit or investigating the stupid shit he has already done. Meanwhile, getting work done in the government is a disaster now. I contract with the public sector, and don’t get me wrong things have always been inefficient. Now that’s cranked to 11. Everyone who knew what they were doing took the buyout and left.
First iteration appear to be Tesla Model Ys. No word on additional sensors, so I am guessing the answer is no.
