Different Chinese dynasties, different costumes and cultures -
Hanfu of the Northern Qi & Northern Song Dynasty & Southern Song Dynasty & Great Ming Dynasty:
China/the CCP has a long history of trying to steal foreign nation’s cultures and paint it as their own.
Korean hanbok was granted by the Chinese emperor in 1392. He also gave the country name “Korea (Joseon)” to the Korean people. Hanbok is a copy of the Great Ming Empire’s traditional Hanfu. Here is the 明憲宗元宵行樂圖 (‘Ming Emperor Xianzong Enjoying the Lantern Festival’) from China — google it.
In Korea’s history books, the Joseon scholar Choe Bu once said:
“Although our land of Joseon lies overseas, our clothing, official attire, and culture are entirely the same as those of China…”
The Korean literati Seo Geo-jeong also wrote in a poem:
“If the Ming emperor were to ask about the affairs of the Three Han, our clothing, official attire, and culture are the same as those of the superior nation.”
Here, the term “superior nation” (上國) refers to China.
In fact, Korean people are wearing lower-ranking Chinese Hanfu, and they are the ones stealing Chinese culture and traditional Hanfu. May I ask, how many Chinese characters are displayed prominently in Korean palaces and throughout their country? They are nothing but thieves and copycats!
