    being used on 288 million smartphones

    None of these mean anything to me without a comparison to GPS’s usage. Only the 288mill can make some sense out of context, but again I need GPS usage to really understand it. This article never gives us that lol

      And it is really not measurable anyways since they are used passively. You don’t send a signal back to indicate that you want to use it.

      And it doesn’t matter at all since most GPS devices actually use whatever satellites they can get a signal from, regardless of origin.
