Too busy for my testosterone shot, might as well use the consequences.
Would there be anything I’d need to chemically treat it with? Ways to avoid smell? Or I’m I good just shoving a brush up there and going to town?
S…senpai, I can’t believe you painted me using your own body.

That’s it, enough Internet for me today.
Mix with egg whites to make gouache and it’s likely to last for hundreds of years.
Man, if I had enough money to buy eggs, I wouldn’t be making homemade paint.
It’s going to turn a sickly brown-black color. I have some veinous blood on wall art and it honestly looks like dried ketchup at this point. I’m not sure what preservative would work though.
As others said, it’s gonna be thin like watercolor. Maybe it can be mixed with ink?
That takes too many cycles to collect enough blood.
Get pregnant and use the aborted fetus blood to paint. I mean, that’s technically like… menstrual blood with extra steps, right?
(Sorry, I just arrived on this planet and have no idea how human anatomy works)
implying abortion is legal where i live
This reminds me of the lead singer of Perfect Pussy (I think it was them). She used her blood in the mix to dye the vinyl records red.

You’re telling me that you wouldn’t watch a Liveleak video titled “fat guy paints from his vagina?”
I’m pushing the boundaries of art here, mon cheri.

One could also copy Manzoni’s work.
Shit seems like it would introduce the problems of bacteria and stink though. Boogers similarly I think are intended to trap bacteria and such. Others have worked with piss, which I think is usually sterile but I would be concerned about chemicals in the piss. I don’t think there is anything unhygienic about the menstrual blood that would cause issues.
It might also be interesting to boil used condoms, cut them, and glue them to the surface as well.
A guy in my art school made a piss sculpture. He collected it in jars every day and then arranged them like pixels on a rack. It was neat to see the colour variation, since he deliberately ate things to try to get more hues.
Menstrual Cup to retrieve the blood. I have no other tips tho.

The concern there might be that it would rot underneath that acrylic. I’ve seen videos of things like hotdogs encased in epoxy that eventually spring leaks.
Maybe baking it would be a good idea. Something to sterilize, powder and mix into a binder.
Dried blood and a fucking chunk of fresh food must surely behave differently.

Don’t do this. Please.
Friend did this for an art project, it didn’t smell. Like all blood it dries to a kinda browny colour, but beyond that it was fairly unremarkable. The reactions from other people were certainly interesting though!
I can’t help with your art, but I’m curious about the connection between the t shot and menstrual cycles. Bf has been getting closer and closer to mustering the courage to figure out how to get on T, so I’m curious to hear some of the side effects people have.
It’s luck of the draw there. For me, it’s 100% off when I’m consistent - this is the first cycle I’ve had in like 5 years. But I’ve known people who kept having their cycle regardless. It’s very much an individual thing, but I think the typical experience is that it stops within six or so months. Check a resource like Hudson’s Guide too.
If you engage in sex that can lead to babies, remember testosterone is not birth control on its own.
Obviously let it dry first, then use fixative spray? Not that I’m an expert. Or make finding the preservation part of the artistic process. Alcohol? Lemon juice? Ashes? Lime?
edit: what are you planning to paint on?
BTW painters of centuries ago used lots of organic materials even from animals, might want to check out if they had some tips.
A Hobby Lobby canvas. Since Joann died and Micheals is far more expensive, I’m occasionally forced to resort to them. I make sure that a good portion of my art work is profane or has explicit political messaging to even out the karmic energy.
I excitedly misread this as saying Hobby Lobby is the canvas
Next time they use the Supreme Court to attack healthcare, maybe there can be “bleed-ins.”
