Jerboa sorely lacks the absolute basic feature of searching for keywords in posts. It only supports searching for community names. I can’t think of any other Lemmy app that does NOT support general search.
I came to know that there is an issue open in Github for over 3 years now, but no clue as to whether it is been worked on.
Totally respecting the personal times of the volunteer developers who are making Jerboa an awesome app - at the same time the lack of this basic feature stops me from calling Jerboa my favorite.
As far as I know, the lemmy devs are focusing on releasing the 1.0.0 backend (currently it’s 0.19.10). This seems to be a huge change by itself, which will need jerboa to support the 1.0.0 before implementing the general search.
The general search seems to work differently from it’s 0.19.10 version, so developing a general search now would cause a re-work to be done once the 1.0.0 is released.
