I am wearing a 34W part of pants. However its stretchy. I want no stretch so I go to the site calculator to figure out what size I am in their idiotic description of what I might be only to be presented with an option to pic the size I want. I’m I stupid? I measure 40.5 to 42.5 on my waist depending on where I measure. So that’s 34? Sonobabich! why did the teacher give me so many wrong marks on my math tests then? 30? you mean 45! correct! 76? ahhh 85.1234233432! yes! correct again!
The other night I was up around midnight and spotted a cat frantically looking in one of my windows. The cat seemed well fed and groomed, so it looked like it belonged to someone. However being that it was so late at night and very cold out I figured it might be lost. I’ve seen more than one missing cat poster lately (none matching this cat), so with that in mind I opened my phone and took a few pics. When I moved towards the window the cat ran off into the dark.
I guess this is what you call a “first-world problem”. Got so used to internet that I forgot some places don’t even have stable internet connection… or internet at all…
Today I got a DMCA notice from Github to take down code for a Chrome extension I forked. Only problem is that the code has always been under the GPL for years. Apparently the original dev now wants money for his extension. Guess he’s now regretting his GPL decision.
For the record, this item retails for 8 euro in my country (one single unit bought in a store, including our 22% VAT), so it does not make sense to buy a container for 3.5 euro

Just 55 minutes ago as I’m typing this, I was in the middle of trying to start a therapy session with my therapist. And, the link she gave me worked, it detected my webcam and seemingly the microphone. I had done a test 30 minutes prior to make sure things were working.
SMBC comics have a comments section, run by Hyvor Talk. It used to work great, but after SMBC parted ways with the Hiveworks Comics, it seems the Hyvor Talk service tier was downgrade massively and now it shows the error “Embed temporarily disabled (limits exceeded)” almost all the time. Only on the first day or two of every month, the limits reset and we can both post and read comments again.

This is the view out the northern window in my bathroom. My neighbor has been cleaning their yard for years, which has just involved them piling garbage in a trailer. The trailer has never been emptied, and At this point I doubt they could move it without the majority of the trash falling out.
This evening the thought, “who first said they were lost in the sauce?” Passed through my head. Googled “lost in the sauce etymology” and much of the Internet claims that Gucci Mane coined the phrase in 2013. The band Ween has a beautiful song released in 1997 featuring the lyrics “Lost in the sauce once again.” This predates Gucci Mane’s usage by 16 years and is surely not the first time the phrase has been used. The misinformation and misattribution is very mildly infuriating.
Looking at buying a handheld PC, and none of the review sites cover OEMs like ayaneo or onexplayer in their head-to-hear breakdowns, so I can’t get an idea how those ones compare to the major OEMs.
It’s frustrating because those small OEMs are the only ones that support eGPUs
But it’s only mildly frustrating because honestly I know my usecase is a bit of an edge case.
